Mies Coffee Table by Frigerio

The Mies coffee table by Frigerio features essential shapes, with a structure and top made of solid wood available in a variety of finishes.

The top is carefully crafted using a pantograph technique that creates three inserts, which are filled with either back-lacquered glass or mirrors, offered in two variants.

Each table combines different wood finishes with a matching glass or mirror elemen in either light or dark. The asymmetrical metal legs are painted and positioned according to the size of the table top, creating a refined, dynamic visual effect.

This combination of materials and colours offers a tone-on-tone aesthetic that changes depending on the observer’s perspective.

Finish:

Metal Base – black sablé, Sand sablé or greige sablé colour

Top Frame – veneered ash wood sand, wengé, greige, liquorice or tobacco

Top inserts: (cannot be modified)

Combination A – Glass Sand colour and Mirror Light

Combination B – Glass Titanium colour and Mirror Bronze

About the designer

Umberto Asnago

Umberto Asnago, born in 1949, studied at the Istituto d’Arte in Cantù, where he honed his skills in solid wood at local carpentries. He joined Giorgetti in 1968, quickly taking charge of the Research Centre and creating numerous iconic pieces until 2006, when he ventured into freelance design. Collaborating with renowned brands like Penta Light, Arflex, and Porada, he left his mark on each creation. In 2011, he returned to Giorgetti to design a new collection. Tirelessly adapting to the furniture industry’s evolution, he began a partnership with Frigerio in 2019, crafting an innovative range that beautifully blends solid wood with leather.
