Innerspace were successful in supplying over 11,000 items to the new Perth Children’s hospital in Nedlands, WA.

The recently opened $1.2 billion Hospital has replaced Princess Margaret Hospital as Western Australia’s specialist paediatric hospital and trauma centre, providing medical care to children and adolescents up to 16 years of age.

Working alongside John Holland the 298 bed hospital has capacity for up to 12 operating theatres, houses an integrated research and educational facility and WA’s only paediatric trauma facility including neonatal and paediatric intensive care units.

Innerspace aided in the selection and supply of products included specialised task chairs, breakout seating and tables, patient seating, public area seating and tables, laboratory stools, whiteboards, outdoor furniture, metal storage, long span racking, children’s chairs, patient room sofa beds, and bolt down courtyard furniture.

This hospital combines innovation in medical technology, high end aesthetic appeal and design features to aid in patient recovery. Furniture selections were bright, fun and whimsical to aid in providing a positive environment to aid in the mental recovery as well as physical recovery for young children of WA.

Following the delivery of this project Innerspace were successful in securing the majority of furniture for the Telethon Kids Institute (TKI) for level 6 and 7 of the Perth Children’s Hospital.

With its rippled, asymmetrical silhouette, inspired by the swirling motion of air through smoke or mist, its smoke-coloured, mouth-blown glass brings an ethereal touch to any setting. Whether cradling a bouquet or standing alone, its sculptural form adds quiet drama—and each unique piece tells its own story.
